This Hilarious Ford Fiesta Pickup Is the Perfect Solution for High Gas Prices
Watching the owner/builder of this wild Ford Fiesta pickup sell it has to be the funniest four minutes in recent history.
With gas prices on the rise these days, truck owners are obviously feeling the pinch. Luckily, newer Ford pickups are more fuel-efficient than ever, but what if you don’t have the cash to buy one of those fancy, luxurious haulers? Well, if you’re YouTuber Ginger Billy, you build a Ford Fiesta pickup and get the best of both worlds – awesome fuel economy and the utility only a truck bed can provide.
Obviously, this whole thing is one big, elaborate joke. But it’s a darn good one. From the minute ‘ol Billy pulls up in his Ford Fiesta pickup, we couldn’t stop ourselves from laughing uncontrollably. Perhaps it’s those insanely elongated side mirrors, or maybe it’s the fact that he actually went to the trouble of making this thing a dually. Then again, it could just be the way he sells us on his insane creation – like the guy from your local used car commercials.
“This thing is a fuel-efficient powerhouse,” he says, er, yells. “This thing has got the heart of a Ferrari, the gas tank of a Prius, and the butt of an F-350. Everybody knows that every real truck has tow mirrors and these ain’t no regular little tow mirrors. These are the biggest, baddest tow mirrors you’ve ever seen. These are the Magnums of tow mirrors. If I’m going too fast and the air gets up under them tow mirrors right there I’ll take off like a jumbo jet.”
If all of that isn’t enough, this Ford Fiesta pickup also has a “racing” steering wheel and a “gooseneck” hitch in the bed that’s apparently stout enough to pull a small yard trailer carrying a kid’s bicycle. Unfortunately, after a hilariously bad, failed attempt at climbing a tiny hill, Billy breaks his gooseneck trailer, but that’s showbiz, we suppose.
After showing off his supreme ability to back up that big old trailer and waxing poetic about the fact that his pickup is a “straight drive,” Billy sums up his genius creation by calling out those of us that choose to drive bigger trucks. “All you folks have fun with them gas guzzlers,” he says. “I’m gonna go put $25 in this bad mamma jamma right here so I can ride around all month.” And if these four minutes of comedic gold isn’t enough to make you laugh even when you’re filling up your 36-gallon tank, we don’t know what will.
