Taking Delivery of the New Ford Bronco

Bronco Wildtrak

Yes, it’s a pre-production Bronco for marketing. But thanks to our friends at Ricart Ford, we can imagine what it will feel like when the all-new Bronco hits dealerships this year!

You might say that we are a bit obsessed with any news related to the 2021 Ford Broncos. We have been following them since the first series of leaks and rumors. We covered the reveal and have written quite a few articles since. Every small detail we learn about the new Bronco just excites us more. Of course, we are not alone as thousands of Ford Bronco fans have placed orders for the newest generation SUV. For one reason or another the wait to get these in customers hands has been longer than expected. That wait may finally be coming to an end.

The folks over at Ricart Ford have just unboxed their very first 2021 Bronco. It is not just any Bronco either. What we have here is the 2-door Wildtrak edition which includes the Sasquatch package. The Bronco looks amazing painted in Race Red. Rick Ricart, President of Ricart Automotive; recently posted a video of the big moment when the Bronco first rolled off the truck. You can see it on his Instagram page. Do you remember as a kid wishing for a new bike or special toy for Christmas or your birthday? Remember the feeling when you first saw that bike or unwrapped that special toy? You can feel that same sense of excitement in Ricart as he stalks the Bronco being unloaded.

As soon as the Bronco tires touch the ground Ricart runs in for a closer look. He starts at the rear of the rig and gives us a look at the cargo space that you can expect in the 2-door version. We also get a good look at the body color painted rollbar that will be exposed when the roof is off. He then explores the rear passenger area. It looks plenty big to accommodate two adults back there. If you don’t need to haul around a large family, the 2-door is what you want. It will be a bit better off-road and looks simply amazing.

A closer look at the interior reveals that this Bronco is equipped with the High Package that includes the 12-inch touchscreen. Popping back outside the truck for a walkaround you can see just how bad ass this Bronco looks. The big, fat tires hiding under the large fender flares, and the brush bar on the front look the business. There is no bad color to paint your new Bronco, but the Race Red color looks great. It is probably no coincidence that if you go to configure a new Bronco Wildtrak the color defaults to Race Red.

Ricart was not content to just crawl around the new Bronco, he had to drive it. Can you blame him? So, he took the Bronco out for a leisurely ride. Ricart hit a nearby multi use trail using a park ranger as an escort. This was not a highspeed test or rock bashing off-road trail, so the capabilities of the Bronco were barely tested. However, just look at the smile on his face. Does that not tell you all that you need to know about getting behind the wheel of the Bronco?

Ford is going to have a massive hit on their hands with this new Bronco. My girlfriend recently bought a new Bronco Sport. She loves it and has not even made her first payment yet. However, when I showed her this video, I could see the wheels turning in her head. She wants one. Wanting one is only going to be part of the equation. Getting one is going to be much more difficult. However, we are hopeful that this Bronco Wildtrak delivery is a sign of things to come. We can’t wait to start to see more and more of these make it to dealers and ultimately to owners.

Do you have an order in for a 2021 Ford Bronco? Is this sighting making the wait for it to arrive even more unbearable? Let us know how you are coping with the wait in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum.
