In a world where Ford doesn’t make a V8 Raptor, this showroom fresh 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor could be yours!

After Ford’s Special Vehicle Team turned the F-150 into the street-fightin’ Lightning twice in the Nineties and 2000s, the crew set their sights upon the desert sands of Baja and the Mojave. The result, of course, was the F-150 SVT Raptor, a brute of an off-road pre-runner with a 6.2-liter V8 built to turn the trail to glass.

Though most of the first-gen rides got their exercise, this Raptor we found heading to Mecum Las Vegas in early October hardly got its reps. It’s got some serious added muscle under the hood, too.

How far did this Raptor travel from the showroom to its upcoming date with the red carpet? Only 895 miles in seven years. Those numbers are usually reserved for the likes of the Ford GT. That’s not the even the lowest-mile Raptor to go across the block, though. A couple of years ago, another 2014 example with 180 miles sold for $57,250 on Bring a Trailer.

Back in its day, the Raptor’s 6.2-liter V8 dropped 411 horses and their 434 lb-ft of torque upon the dirt. However, this one received a big Roush Performance supercharger and exahust system. MotorTrend reviewed one with a Stage 2 kit seven years ago. The kit pumped up the jam to 590 ponies and lb-ft of torque to all corners. Thus, this red rocket has some serious beef to serve.

Not only have all those ponies not beat up the trail as much as they should, they’ve all be kept in a garage. Of course, that means this Raptor looks as good as new, a big selling point on the block. The paint even matches Mecum’s famed red carpet; maybe that’s why it’s one of its star lots.

There are a few Raptor fans who prefer the 6.2-liter V8 over the second-gen’s 3.5-liter turbo V6. Though one is forthcoming for the third-gen, they’ll need to wait until 2022 to bring the noise. Or they can place a bid on this low-mile, supercharged behemoth to howl at the desert moon.
