Our Friend Nate Watches His New 2017 Super Duty Get Built

Nate Berges, one of the Ford insiders for the launch of the 2017 Super Duty and friend of Ford Truck Enthusiasts, quickly ordered a truck after getting a chance to drive the prototypes. He knew right away it’s what he wanted to replace his personal truck with, and he got into the order queue just like everyone else.

While he didn’t get some super insider deal or was given a truck as part of the program, Ford did fly him out to the Kentucky Truck Plant and watch his very own truck be built. It’s an experience that I’m sure he’ll never forget, and an experience that would be cool for more fans to experience.

Nate talks about how enthusiastic the folks are at KTP about building Super Dutys. While I’ve never been to that plant, I’ve been in a few other Ford truck facilities and I can tell you the emotion they show is genuine. They’re friendly, they’re kind, and their enthusiastic about building some of the most popular vehicles in the country. They really have pride in their work.

Unfortunately you can’t have the same experience, at least not yet. Chevrolet Corvette buyers have the option to take delivery of their vehicles in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility to see Ford offer something in the future.
