These four 2023 Ford Super Duty pickups give us a good look at what to expect from a forthcoming mid-cycle refresh.

By now, pretty much everyone is well aware of the fact that a refreshed 2023 Ford Super Duty is on the way, one that will introduce a host of changes to the long-running model, though not a thorough redesign by any measure. Rather, the 2023 Ford Super Duty will feature the typical mid-cycle refresh including things like revised front and rear end styling, as well as an interior restyle, with a few additional tech features likely as well. Now, we’re getting a closer look at the 2023 Super Duty’s exterior styling thanks to this video from YouTuber Kindel Auto.

These four 2023 Ford Super Duty pickups reportedly consist of two Lariats and two base XLs, and were spotted near Death Valley undergoing hot weather testing – an appropriate place to do that kind of thing, we’d say. Regardless, these trucks are all wearing quite a bit of camo, concealing many of the upcoming styling changes, though do get a good look at the new front end thanks to a bit less covering in that particular area.

There, the refreshed Super Duty takes a page out of Ford’s new styling direction for its pickups like the Maverick and next-generation Ranger, sporting the automaker’s familiar C-clamp headlight design, which flanks a pair of bars that intersect a giant Blue Oval in the center of the grille. It’s nothing radically different, but just enough to give the truck a fresh look, though it remains instantly recognizable to anyone that lays eyes upon it.

The difference in trim levels is pretty obvious here, as the bare-bones XL features a different design consisting of larger headlights that lack that slim, LED look of the Lariat, as well as a more basic grille design and more generic wheels. In the rear, the taillights have received a redo as well, with a vertically-placed white backup lamp and a black section that intersects the center.

These 2023 Super Duty pickups don’t exactly reinvent the wheel for the popular series, but they do just enough to keep it fresh for a couple more years before another inevitable redesign occurs. And since we’re creeping ever-closer to the launch of the 2023 model year across the board, we shouldn’t have to wait much longer to see this new design in the flesh, without any silly camo involved.
