Technology has completely taken over our daily use vehicles. Whether it’s related to engine performance, safety, luxury or convenience, high-tech systems have made our lives more enjoyable, safer, and easier. Well, at least most of the time they have.
When Ford launched the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system in the 2016 F-150, it was welcomed in lukewarm fashion. On one side, truck and towing aficionados condemned the technology, claiming that if a truck owner lacked the basic trailering skills, they had no business owning a truck. On the other hand, new truck customers and recreational towers welcomed the clever system with open arms.
