Who Knew? Kelly Clarkson is Apparently a Huge Ford Truck Fan

Kelly Clarkson, the former American Idol winner turned celebrity, hasn’t lost her long-lasting love for Fords.

It isn’t terribly surprising when we see celebrities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tooling around in something like a Ford F-150 Raptor, because, well, it sort of fits his on-screen persona as a larger-than-life former pro wrestler and all-around tough guy. Other times, we’re somewhat surprised to see what certain celebs drive – just take Lady Gaga‘s F-150 SVT Lightning, for example. Former American Idol winner and now-famous singer Kelly Clarkson is also apparently a massive Ford truck fan, according to her divorce filing from husband Brandon Blackstock recently obtained by The Blast.

Perhaps it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise since the couple owns a ranch in Montana, but a number of items noted in the filing include a bush hog mower, Can-Am four-wheeler, and most importantly, Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups, a Ford Bronco, and, interestingly enough, a Ford fire truck. A pretty nice collection, if we don’t say so ourselves, and Clarkson will get to keep all of those sweet vehicles following the split, to boot.

Those aren’t the only cool toys listed in the filing, however, which also includes property in Tennessee, a John Deere tractor, plow, forklift, motorcycles, a snowmobile, and plenty of livestock, as one might expect to see on a real-life ranch. Unfortunately for Clarkson, since she’s the celebrity here, she’ll be forced to pay a whopping $115,000 per month in alimony and another $45,000 in child support.

We don’t know much about Clarkson’s collection of Blue Oval vehicles save for her 1976 Ford Bronco, which actually appeared on an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage a couple of years ago. That sweet restomod is powered by a modern 5.0-liter Coyote V8, and Clarkson also revealed during that episode that her very first vehicle was a Ford Explorer, so it appears that she’s been a Blue Oval fan her whole life. To top the whole thing off, she shows off her off-roading skills behind the wheel of a Super Duty Tremor while Leno enjoys it from the passenger seat.

It’s unfortunate to learn that Clarkson is a hardcore Blue Oval fan only because of her very public divorce, but at the same time, it’s nice to know that there’s another celebrity out there that hasn’t lost touch with her roots, too.
