Ford F-150 vs. Dodge RAM 1500 – Lifelong Rivals
There have been and there will be other trucks in the market, but when it comes to the big three, the Ford F-150, the Chevy Silverado and the RAM rule the market. Oh, and don’t you dare call it the Dodge Ram, it’s simply RAM nowadays.
The RAM may trail behind the F-150 AND Silverado when it comes to sales, but brand loyalty and a solid and steady progress when it comes to creature comforts and technology has propelled the RAM further up the sales charts as of lately. That being said, the Ford F-150 is undeniably the best selling pickup truck 30 years strong.
The guys over at Top Speed have recently put the Ford F-150 and RAM 1500 rivals to the test, as well as put together a through comparison of both truck’s offerings and capabilities. It’s always worth taking a second to read such breakdowns, as manufacturer-created TV commercials can sometimes mislead customers with sensationalist facts about tow ratings, etc. Not saying they’re lies, but the way they come up with such figures can really surprise you sometimes.
As much as we love the Ford F-150, and I personally and professionally believe that is the best truck on the market today, there’s always strong reasons for allowing readers to pick the winner. In the end, it’s the customer’s needs that will allow one truck to succeed over the other, and what a particular buyer may look for in one truck may not be relevant to another.
Check out the comparison and let us know what you think!
