Coyote-Swapped 1969 Ford F-100 Restomod is a Dark Beauty

In the market for a sporty pickup? Streetside Classics’ F-100 restomod ditches chrome trim and rides low on Mustang wheels.

The restomodding community sure has a soft spot for Ford’s Coyote crate motor. Remember the ‘71 Bronco restomod we reported on earlier this week?  Well, that striking overlander ditched its original 205 HP small block V8 for Ford performance’s lauded Coyote powertrain. Recently, Streetside Classics listed a 1969 Ford F-100 restomod up for sale. This truck is also powered by the Blue Oval brand’s formidable 5-liter V8 engine.

The bodywork sports a rich Black Cherry paint job. However, the underlying red tones are only revealed when they truck comes in direct contact with sunlight. The Cherry paint job is offset by dark accents like the blacked-out trim and bumpers that replace the original chrome work of the vintage pickup truck. This F-100 Ranger restomod comes gets a short bed that is lined with black paint, which compliments the pickup truck’s dark color scheme.

In addition to a lowered aftermarket suspension setup, the ‘69 F-100 restomod also rides on a set of 19-inch Mustang wheels that flaunt a black finish. The gorgeous black wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Even the interior gets a murdered out-treatment. Inside the cabin, we find a pair of power-adjustable bucket seats that are wrapped in plush leather. The cabin also gets creature comforts like a touch screen infotainment system and an R134a air conditioning unit.

Not just a pretty face!

According to Streetside Classics, the Coyote motor found under the hood of this Ford F-100 restomod is similar to the one that powers the Mustang GT. In its factory tune, the 5-liter V8 produces 460 HP of power and 420 lb-ft of peak torque. The powertrain of this F-100 restomod also gets BBK headers and a dual-tip exhaust system. Streetside has not revealed whether these performance upgrades have improved the overall power output of the motor.

The power is sent to the rear wheels via a Flowmaster 6-speed manual gearbox. The truck also gets disc brakes on all four corners for better stopping power. This gorgeous ‘69 Ford F-100 Ranger restomod is currently located in Mesa, Arizona, and can be yours for the price of $47,995. Interested buyers can check out this truck’s eBay listing or head onto Streetside Classics’ official website.
