Unparalleled Classic F-150 is Envy of Our Eye: Two Tone Tuesday Presented by Dupli-Color Premium Truck Bed Coating
Red and black boost the lines of this perfect 1977 F-150 Ranger 4×4. Now, this is a truck.
When we came across this sixth-generation Ford F-150, we thought, “now that is a truck.” It really is just…perfect. Almost perfect, actually. We’re subtracting points for it not being parked in our driveway. What can we say, we’re petty. But we knew it had to be our pick for Two Tone Tuesday.
Spotted on Vanguard Motor Sales, this 1977 F-150 is a hearty ride–made even better by its black and red exterior. The Ranger trim adds additional sweet features to this picture-perfect-yet-still-ass-kickin’ rig. Fully restored, it also runs a meaty 351 ci V8 under the hood.
Oh, she is a beaut. And we love the glossy black and red two tone. Very cool, bold; very metal.
Described at “nut and bolt restored,” it is clear that whomever restored this F-150 loves Ford trucks.
It rides high, as only the king of the road, should. Lift is the perfect height, and is complemented by the 33” tires with polished aluminum wheels, abd components.
While it certainly gorgeous enough to win any auto show, this truck was also built to work. It can go off-road, and take on any just about anything. The bed has been refreshed, and will make a mighty hauler.
It is very rare to see an engine bay this clean. Chrome valve covers and air cleaner, MSD 6AL ignition, and exhaust headers make it even more slick. Plusm that Ford 351 ci V8 engine–mated to a C6 3-speed automatic transmission–is a stunner.
Underneath, the flawlessness continues. Upgrades have been perfectly done, and include a Ford 9” rear end out back, Dana 44 Axle with warn locking hubs.
Each detail is covered, every upgrade and modification purpose-built. Yes, it looks killer because it drives killer.
Black upholstery looks very smart and bold. Dash, gauges, steering wheel, and all are period-correct and so sleek. You’ll also notice a Shelby snake on the dash. Ford love runs deep!
What surprised us is the low mileage, a little over 33K on this beautifully restored piece of Ford greatness!
Many argue that the era that produced pickups like this ’77 F-150 was truly Ford’s golden era. We can find greatness in all Ford generations, but truly, this truck is hard to top. Two toned, and too cool for words.
