BFGoodrich Presents BUILDUP A 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger
Every Ford truck enthusiast out there had to start somewhere. One isn’t simply born with the knowledge and skill needed to work on and build these trucks to perfection. No one is born with the money to do it, either.
This 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger is where Ford truck enthusiast fordish has decided to start. He bought the rig from his dad and it is equipped with a 460, factory A/C, and a black interior. Even so, the classic Ford is in pretty rough shape.
The goal for the build is to just get the truck running, safe, and reliable. Fordish plans to work on it slowly and add to it as time goes on, which definitely isn’t a bad plan.
Who doesn’t enjoy a running and driving project? So far very little has happened with the build, but recently his new double roller timing set arrived, so we should expect to see the engine reassembled relatively soon!
There is a long way to go with this build, but it is a wonderful starting point and will certainly be an excellent rig some day. Go drop by fordish’s build thread and show your support!
