2019 Ford F-150 Raptor with 510 HP Wows YouTuber
This monster has been developed by Zen Racing.
In the above video, David Patterson of That Dude in Blue, has reviewed a 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor whose 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine produces 510 horsepower and over 700 pound-feet of torque. For reference, in factory specification, the EcoBoost engine of the F-150 Raptor produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The F-150 reviewed by Patterson has achieved the power gains owing to a kit created by Georgia-based, Zen Racing.
“What they did with this kit was they developed it over time and they worked with several different companies to try and make this happen. This truck makes more power than most other shops around,” says Patterson.
“What’s so beautiful about this [F-150 Raptor] is that it’s stock motor, stock transmission … stock twin-turbo, and [yet] it’s making this much power. But it has the aFe [Power] intake and the CORSA [Performance] exhaust. I personally like the sound of the V6, but some people might not.”
The drive of the engine is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox, which Patterson has praised in his review. “The 10-speed transmission is freaking incredibly. It’s in the [Chevrolet Camaro] ZL1, it’s in the new [Ford] Mustang GT and that’s why people are able to do such fast drag times, because they just never stop pulling,” he says. “I know a lot of people are not fans of autos, but if there’s an auto to have, it’s this one.”
