2007 Ford F150 Overview

The 2007 Ford F150 included a number of changes, additions, and new standard features, including a DVD-based navigation radio with in-dash screen, Sirius satellite radio, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Also available was the FX2 Sport Package for all 4×2 SuperCab and SuperCrew XLT pickups. This included 18-inch aluminum wheels, chrome exhaust tip, fog lamps, and captain’s chairs with a center console and shifter on the floor. An auxiliary audio input jack was standard on all 2007 Ford F150 STX, XLT, FX and Lariat models, and a deluxe mirror package was available as an add-on. Six different exterior colors than the previous colors were available for the 2007 Ford F150, including Pueblo Gold, Red Fire, Dark Blue Pearl, Forest Green and White Sand Tri-Coat.

The 2007 had the widest selection of available body types and styles for a full-sized pickup available, including three cab types, different box lengths, and two box styles. Five different pickup models were available to choose from: the XL, STX, XLT, FX4, and Lariat models.

A 4.6 L 248 hp V8 with 294 ft lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm was standard with all 4-wheel drive, FX4 SuperCab, FX4 SuperCrew, Lariat SuperCab Short Box, and Lariat SuperCrew models. Standard with the 4-wheel drive FX4 and FX4 Flareside pickups was a 5.4 L 300 hp V8 with 293 ft lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm. The XL, XL Long Bed, STX, STX Flareside, and XLT rear-wheel models included a 4.2 L 202 hp V6 engine producing 260 ft lbs @ 3750 rpm as standard equipment. The XL SuperCab, STX SuperCab, XLT SuperCrew and XLT SuperCab pickups included a 4.6 L 231 hp V8 engine with 293 ft lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm. Lariat SuperCab and Lariat SuperCrew pickups included a 5.4 L 300 hp V8 engine as standard equipment.

A 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission was standard equipment with all 4-wheel drive 2007 Ford F150 pickups. This same 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission was standard equipment on all rear-wheel drive STX Flareside, XL SuperCab, STX SuperCab, XLT Flareside, XLT SuperCab, XLT SuperCrew, Lariat SuperCab, and Lariat SuperCrew models. A 5-speed manual overdrive transmission was standard equipment in the rest of the rear-wheel drive pickups.
