Cut #1: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "Brand new fresh style, head-turning design, revolutionary, what we call take charge technology highlighted by the MyFord Touch system and a best in class powertrain selection that is going to deliver unsurpassed fuel economy.": 11 sec.
According to Burin, the major changes made to the Ford Edge 2011 are both inside and out.

Cut #2: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "Well you start with the exterior, all new front end, new grill, headlamps, front facia, really, really what we call harmonious design that blend perfectly into the side of the vehicle and the rear of the vehicle with these big beautiful rear tailpipes that are four-inch oval tailpipes." :17 sec.
However, Burin says the interior of the 2011 Ford Edge is the real story.

Cut #3: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "All new interior with soft touch, upgraded craftsmanship, premium materials and in the center of that is the MyFord Touch system, which kind of leads our ground-breaking revolutionary technology we put into this vehicle. " :13 sec.
In-car connectivity started with SYNC back in 2006 and has now raised the level of staying connected via MyTouch Ford in the 2011 Ford Edge.

Cut #4: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "That system is an intuitive engaging system and just really caps off the list of a ton of technologies that we’re introducing on the 2011 Edge. We consider the MyFord Touch system, a safer, simpler, smarter way of connecting with your vehicle and your vehicles devices." :15 sec.
My FordTouch takes SYNC to the next level and allows drivers to keep their hands on the wheel their eyes on the road because of the five switches on the vehicles steering wheel that are connect to two LCD screens in the instrument cluster.

Cut #5: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "So you can switch your radio stations, adjustment your climate control, set your driving directions, look at your fuel economy, look at how your vehicle is performing, all with keeping your hands on the wheel, eyes on the road or using the voice activation through SYNC." :13 sec.
Performance has also been improved as well as an increase in MPG’s. According to Burin, the 2011 Ford Edge comes standard with a 3.5 liter engine but has Twin-intake-variable-cam-timing technology, which simply means you get more power and better fuel economy with every drop of gas.

Cut #6: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "And so what is actually delivered is 285 hp which is a 20 hp improvement over the outgoing model and 2-miles per gallon better on the highway up to 27 mpg highway fuel economy, which is going to be an unsurpassed highway fuel economy." :14 sec.
But if you’re looking for even more performance and head-turing styling, Burin insists that you consider the Ford Edge Sport.

Cut #7: SOUNDBITES: 2011 FORD EDGE "It has a 3.7 liter TiVct V-6 Engine that’s going to deliver 305 hp and 280 ft.lbs of torque. That’s best in class in the entire crossover segment, so that’s the big difference between the regular Edge and the Edge Sport, but we we wrapped that into a very aggressive intriguing package, the Sport has a customized factory body kit, it’s got a unique headlamp and tail lamp kind of smoke-out treatment, it’s got a Tuxedo blacked grill and most importantly and probably most noticeably is big ol’ 22-inch wheels with Tuxedo black accents." 35 sec.
The 2011 Ford Edge will be built at Oakville Assembly Complex in Ontario, Canada, and will be available in dealers this summer.
