Soulless?

As the old saying goes, well, things of a ginger-like hue supposedly lack, um, soul. But taking a close look at this stunning Ginger Glow 1974 Ford F-250 we spotted over at Bring a Trailer, that's pretty hard to believe. And heck, it even has a Ginger Knit interior to boot!

Bygone Era

For starters, this sort of exterior color combination is something that simply screams '70s. Just try and buy something new that looks like this. Go on, we'll wait. Combined with Ford's iconic design, it's safe to say they just don't make 'em like they used to.

West Coast Living

This F-250 is in amazing survivor condition, which can in part be credited to the fact that it is an original California truck. And it's remained there (aside from a stint in dry Arizona) ever since.

Mechanical Refresh

A two-owner truck before it was purchased for resale, this old Ford has obviously been well-cared for over the years. Aside from a good detail, all that's been done here is a full mechanical refresh to make sure everything's running right.

Interesting Mods

The matching Ginger interior is likewise flawless but sports a few interesting additions. One of which is a gun rack, a "mod" accompanied by a cassette stereo, fire extinguishers, and a few extra gauges.

Rolling Over?

If all of that doesn't scream old school, we don't know what does. You'll also notice that the odometer only reads 41k miles, though the seller doesn't note whether or not it has rolled over.

Performance and Visual Upgrades

Under the hood, you'll find Ford's 360 V8, which now wears an Edelbrock intake and carb, Sanderson headers, an a Pertronix ignition. The block and other engine bay components have been repainted to make them look like new.

Row Your Own

The four-wheel drive pickup also has a 4-speed manual transmission that's been recently rebuilt and Dana 60 differentials in the front and back. The rear gear ratio is a fairly steep 4.10:1, which is great for getting up and going.

Doing the (Paper)work

The old truck also comes with a bunch of paperwork, including a Marti report, the original window sticker, and various other goodies.

Motown Crooner

Overall, this beautiful old Ford F-250 is one of the nicest we've come across in a while. And despite the few mods it's packing, it's a mostly original example of one of our favorite trucks of all time. So how could anything this cool, especially something born in Motown, possibly lack for soul?
