Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
Best Hot Shot Rig you'll see both inside AND out!
I work this truck hard, 82,000 miles put on her since July 2010. Other than the 2 recalls (cam positioning sensor and cruise control) the only work done on this truck has been the injector SLEEVES, had 1 cracked (I believe this was due to a well meaning friend inadvertently putting gas in my diesel tank) since gas burns hotter than diesel I believe the cracked sleeve was the result of that incident a month earlier. NO PROBS WITH THE INJECTORS THEMSELVES though!
I pull a 40ft gooseneck float(8400) and 10k to 15K in cargo and have never had any problem with the original tranny and I spent from Oct 2010 to Jan 2011 running NOTHING BUT Indiana to WA, ID, UT, CO, WY, MT etc... in HEAVY snow and ice with 2wd! I'll do an overhead on her within the next 9k and she'll be good for another 300,000. To look at her you'd never know she's a commercial ride and I wouldn't take anything for her, been offered alot more than book several times and turned it down flat. This is my 2nd 7.3, the 1st was just as strong but that damn clutch never loosened up and my knees were bad so got the automatic. I'll rebuild her from the ground up if need be or get a knew crate motor from International if need be!
