Smile Took Delivery of our Job 2 2017 F350!

Our new truck arrived at the dealer yesterday, and we picked it up today. We REALLY like it!

Oh, yeah... You want proof :

I've updated the order spreadsheet and my signature. Now I gotta go figure out how everything works!

Regards,
Jim / crewzer

What is the difference between a job 2 truck and I guess a job 1?

Lightbulb

A few running feature changes for trucks built after ~February 20, 2017. For example, ours has two USB ports on the back side of the center console.

A few changes were made that show up in Job #2 trucks:
  • Updated Cupholders
  • USB Ports in Rear of Center Console
  • Less Availability of 3" Receiver Hitch
  • Some other things we don't know about??

What was the cup holder update? Hoping they added the bumpers at the bottom from the right ones to the left.. left ones are useless unless you're drinking a 40oz.

3" receiver available on less models / configurations ?

Smile

Thanks for the compliments and comments!

Our 6.2 SRW model is fitted with the 2-1/2" receiver, which seems to be compliant with Ford's latest configuration standard. For example, IIRC, the only new SD gasser to get the 3" receiver is the 350 DRW. The 2-1/2" version is fine for our needs.

Regarding LED headlights, I may look into H13 LED replacements at some point, although I must say that the stock halogens did a fine job when I ran a "couldn't wait" errand last night. Otherwise, I'm still going through the manual and all of the various settings!

I'll post an initial review in a week or so.

Thanks again!
Jim / crewzer

The cup holder mod was to put plastic tabs in all the cup holders that previously had the little rubber nubs. Rubber nubs were staying pushed in and wouldn't pop back out. Soooo...job 2 gets redesigned cup holders.

3" hitch is only available on certain configurations now. These are the basic changes. 350 short bed crew diesel now gets 2.5. Long bed keeps 3". F250 HD package retains the 3" in both short and long bed.
