Radiator Advice 64 F-100

I have a 1964 F-100 with a 292. It has what I believe to be the original radiator. Its leaking and has a good bit of rust. It's time to replace. I plan on keeping the truck stock.

What would yall suggest to do? Either have this one rebuilt (I think it may be rebuildable) or get a new one. If I get a new one where should I purchase it from?

thanks !

Mainly comes down to cost for most. A good radiator shop can often repair your stock original radiator good as new, for a price far less than a new brass/copper radiator. But they are not always repairable if they are too far gone.

A lot of folks use the Champion replacement radiators, these are offshore aluminum jobs. They don't look right to my eyes, but they work OK. These are about $225 delivered and bolt right up. These are not generally repairable. A quality replacement brass radiator is about 600 bones, a little spendy for many.

The radiator shop I use can do pretty close to miracles if needed. They can get cores for many older and antique vehicles. Mine did not need it, but they can fix holes in the tanks and patch larger areas, too, building up weak spots. They do it with the tanks off and from the inside so you don't see the repairs from the outside once it is all reassembled.

If you go to this link and scroll to the very last picture on the page it was an example of what they can do.

This is maybe even a better example of what they can do. They are just down the road from the Museum of Flight here in Seattle.

Thanks again, turns out this radiator is to far gone. I want to stay as original as possible. Where should I turn to purchase a new one?

Would y'all use LMC? Or someone else ?

Standard equipment fan shrouds: 1961/64 F350 223/292 with DRW / 1965/66 F350 240 with A/C / 1965/66 F350 240 with DRW

But, there is a fan shroud that will bolt on 1961/64 F100/250 223/292; 1965/66 F100/250 2WD 240/300/352; 1966 F100 4WD 240/300/352 without any mods.

D3TZ-8146-C (replaced C8TZ-8146-K) .. Fan Shroud-Use with standard, xtra cooling and A/C radiators / Reproduced.

Original applications: 1968/76 F100/350 360/390. I installed one a these on my 1965 F100 352, fit like it was made for it.

An FTE member with a 1964 F100 292 also installed one, said it fit like it was made for it.
