Anybody use this tire size?
I've been mildly obsessed with putting tall/skinny tires on my 76 F150. Some honesty (w myself) over budget and real-life usage has led me away from mud and bias-ply tires and towards an all-terrain radial...BFG makes one but I'm wondering how it'll look once installed. I plan on using a 7 or 8" steel wheel.
Anybody got pictures? Doesn't need to be the same brand, just the size is important.
I've read through and even posted on the "Tall/Skinny" tires thread...some great looking options, but mostly bias-ply suggestions or super-boogery mudders...not the best choice for a DD in the rainy PNW.

To the OP.....BFG A/T KO's are the shizznit! Ive ran them on my truck for the past 15 years and they are awesome in everything BUT mud. Get them siped for added wet traction. Seeing your in Orygun...it will help. haha

15in rims on F150's is standard issue. He shouldn't have any issues. F350's, now thats a issue. I ditched the 16.5 inch rims on mine and tried to drop down to a 16in wheel.....no bueno. Rubbed the calipers hard so I had to go to a 17in wheel to clear the brakes.

Now that we have that all settled ...
I've got 15x8s on it now, I wouldn't mind going to a 16" rim but don't see much advantage to it at this point. My 73 F250 had 16.5s and used every inch.
BFGs have been my go-to since I bought my first set in the 80s. I've put em on cars, trucks, SUVs, everything. I was wanting more of a retro tread pattern for this truck, but that was really just for asthetics...once I got real I realized what I wanted and what I need are different things.

That's the exact size you see on my orange ford. I wanted a 9.50, but good luck finding that.

15x8? I cant remember the width for sure...They are just a standard 1/2 ton 1970's wheel, they could be 7".... My suspension is stock 211,000 miles. I wanted tall skinny's, but I couldn't find 33x9.50's. (The tire store I had an account with could not obtain them anyway.....) So I went with the 10.50's, they are still narrow really....I wish I could remember the wheel width...

The tire should have the cold psi on the sidewall. I'd adjust down a bit for 15x8... helps keep the center of the tread from wearing down faster due to the crowning caused by a narrower rim. If you have 15x10s I'd follow what the manufacturer recommends.
