Settled on a truck
Hey Everyone,
I know several have chimed in as I worked through the buying decision on my new truck. I picked up a single owner 2015 with 37k on it for $42k. I feel pretty good on the deal and now just have to wait for shipping to get it here to Alaska.
Thanks to everyone for their advice on the purchase.
On a side note, I am going to do the deletes on the truck at 100k when the ESP expires. As I've been researching, I see alot of people really like the SCT for the deletes. My intent is to delete the EGR and the DPF, but I will just run the truck on it's stock setting. Given I am not going to increase the HP at all, which route does everyone think I should do? MY last truck had an H&S and I had no complaints. I would like a little better gauges, but otherwise just want the delete. Does anyone run a DPF-R on the 6.7s? I wouldn't mind just doing the deletes and then running manual gauges. Additional opinions is appreciated.
Thanks!
Jeremy

If you want to tune and delete I think you should just go ahead and do it rather than wait for 100,000 miles to roll. These 2015 engines aren't plagued with any predictable failure items like the 2011(valves/glow plug) and 2012 (turbo). If I were you I'd drive it through the winter and delete it in the spring.

where abouts do you live? Have you ever had any bad fuel issues? I'm excited to get the truck up here with the new boat and enjoy next summer. It's been a long road, but it is almost time to play.

Call me chicken little but nothing is perfect. If I were to delete it'd be after that basically free ESP that you got. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. These engines are solid, it's the peripherals on the engine I would be more concerned about. Don't give the dealer any ammo if he should decide to mess with you.
