Floor Covering

Hello, Question is, With the carpet delete option on a XLT what is the difference from the premium vinyl floor in the upper trim level trucks? and those who have the standard vinyl floor is there a more in cab sound?

I did the carpet delete in my Lariat and I don't think there's any problem with sound dampening. There is a pad under the vinyl to maintain the sound and temperature barrier you'd get with the carpet. It's much quieter inside the cab than I thought it would be. It's just as quiet as in the '15 Fusion Hybrid Titanium I traded in, quieter than our '14 Focus SE, and much, much, much quieter than our '06 Wrangler (or the '07 Wrangler we traded for the Focus).

I agree. Very happy I did the carpet delete. The floor surface is nice and it is padded. Very quiet in the truck.

Does anyone have pictures of the vinyl flooring they can share? I ordered a Lariat with the carpet delete option.

Here's a picture my salesman sent me while my truck was being prepped. It's not a close-up but I think you get a good view .

Thanks for the picture llblake64. Ford did a great job with the carpet delete option. It looks like it will be easy to clean and sweep out.

ive had my lariat two days now, i am very impressed with the vinyl floor, i keep my corn whisk broom in the door and it sweeps out easily. Also the ford all weather mats are a very nice touch with the vinyl. no mats sliding all over like what ive experienced in the past. the carpet and the vinyl have the same insulation....no difference in sound
