New to the forum. Just bought a 63 f100. The truck is relatively solid. Was driving along at about 40mph when the hood flipped up! So couple of things: Not sure how it happened as far as I can tell the mechanism is simple and functioning correctly, I guess it's possible the lever you pull to release the hood was somehow stuck open. Was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem. The hood is now slightly misaligned which I will need to fix as it now catches on the adjacent sheet metal when opening. Mostly just concerned that there isn't something I need to check to prevent it from happening again. Appreciate any advice.

On another item can anyone recommend a source for a 3 point seat belt that won't spoil the stock look?
