Sorry to step on your pee-pee Talyn, but I got to disagree with you here. No they're not the same. They are different parts. How, I don't know, but there are two different part number for pre '97 and post '97. They're shaped different too. I put a post '97 one in my truck and it ran, but it acted a little strange. I don't know what the functional differences are, and for all I know they may be interchangeable, but they are certainly NOT the same.

For what it is worth Riffraff used the same picture for both part numbers, but the shape of that sensor is the later sensor. The early sensor is round at the top and has a smaller hex section underneath.
