Doug - you do not want to know!!!!

My buddy (who owns a shop where the truck is stored / worked on at) told me to keep hammering away at it and wiggle it until it comes loose and then pull - because I could not get a wheel puller on it - so we went this route...

BUT - I sometimes over muscle things and snapped the entire section of the wheel and now still have part of the steering wheel on the column!! I shot myself in the foot on this one!

The steering wheel would had to go anyway - but now I am in a worse position as I need to figure out how to get the other part off the column.

Send me and email to info@route66world.com and I will take a pic Sunday and send it to you!!

    Ed

Hi Ed, I've really really enjoyed reading about your build! I'm still taking things off my 49 F1. I was wondering what issues you had, if any, with removing the steering wheel? There are no holes on my wheel near the main nut to attach a puller to. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks.. Doug
