    sorry i didnt see this message earlier, but no its not a tough job just a tedious job. 4-5 hours is all it took. other people say it has taken the entire weekend. you do have to remove the entire dash. well not remove but get it all loose and pulled away from the fire wall. email me at my username @yahoo.com if you need any more info. i can email you the instructions.

    '98 5.4 4x4. All new to this. Walked up to my p/u yesterday and saw fluid coming from underneath. Looked under and horrified to see constant drip from tranny. After looking around I determined that the heater core casing must have a drain line for leaks and it comes out right above the tranny. So my core must have a leak. Plus, that explains the smell of antifreeze while driving.
    Now, you say it only took you 5 hrs? Tough job? I had an '87 5.0 and I had to gut out my entire interior to get to core. It took me a whole weekend. Please tell me this is easier? Any tips or short cuts? Special tools required?
