    The most common cause of the torque converter locking in reverse is low pressure. That can be caused by low trans fluid, the internal filter not installed right, leaking internal seals, or a worn out pump.

    could you help ?
    2006 F250 4x4 , 165k miles , original tranny
    left a stop sign at normal speed.. loud pop ... all forward gears and reverse GONE!
    I had local shop rebuilt tranny. All forward gears work great but have a TC lock-up in reverse until the tranny heats up.. then it acts fine in reverse..


    any help would be greatly appreciated..
