I hit a brick wall.

I have me a problem. It was brought to my attention, that the local sled pulling has a charger limit of 2.6 (66mm). Well I was wondering if the Dominator 66 is a good turbo? Would the EGT's be really bad with 238 Hybrids? Like I said I forgot all about the charger limit. What would be a good turbo for me since the biggest I can go is 2.6 (66mm)??? Thanks guys.

Isn't that just the class your building for or that's the overall limit. If your worried bout egt's just spray water in it.

Jesse, sled pulling rules are weird sometimes. Post the actually inducer rule here so we can see how it reads. In some cases you can really run a larger turbo, but bush it down to the 2.6" rule. You won't want to run a D66 in a 2.6 inducer class b/c it won't even start to flow the air your going to need to compete. Look into the rules, figure out whether you have to have a "true" 2.6 or if you can run a clipped wheel or bushed housing. From there you can figure out what turbo you can use to suit your needs..

Good. That'll keep the egt's down. I'm sure that dominator 66 will work

I dont have the rules so I cant tell you, but I know (From being on the tech team) that I use a washer welded to a bolt, and if that washer fits in the turbo intlet housing then they are not allowed to compete in the 2.6 class. Make since guys? And I knw the head guy was talking t one of his buddy and told him when he orders his turbo from some compant to callt ehm and let them know that the turbo has to be 2.6 (NATP standards?) compatible. And they will send a turbo that will fit the bill.

Ok, well if that's all they are going to do then get you something like an S472 or something and bush it down to 2.6. Then you still only have a 2.6 opening and the plug won't fit in the housing, but you actually have a bigger turbo hiding behind there. This is legal in a bunch of 2.6 classes.

DI performance has 3" cast aluminum intakes for a good price. Check him out. Run a search slick. I don't have time right now, but S400s usually run around $1000 for a stock charger. Then getting the bushing. Not sure, would have to ask some places that build turbos.

If 2.6 is like Battle of the Bluegrass down here and Washington Court House near you.
No injectables of any kind in 2.6. I'd get a printed set of rules if you can.

And let me know if you pull at WCH. I'd come watch ya, only a couple hours from there.
