Value of 48-50 Cab

What would be the value of a cab from a 48-50 truck? It has a bit of rust on the cab corners and some rust above the windshield.

The prices are all over the place but there are lots of good cabs out there you just have to shop smart. Remember that the F1 to F8 cabs are all the same.

I have found one that I am told has a small amount of rust on the headliner which is better then my current cab. I was thinking I would buy it and try to sell mine, but I have no clue what they are worth.

If you are going to get a cab I wouldn't get one that needs fixing. Talk to Snowking he may have a cab and Fomoko1 used to have one also. Put an add in the wanted and selling sticky at the top of the page you might get a resonse there to. I have a cab also but it is a 51. Also, still have not heard back from the fellow with the Merc tailgate.

If you can find em at an auction, you can usually buy a complete grain truck for pretty cheap. I MIGHT have one sitting in Carrot River for sale, Ill know the next time I head out there.

Grain trucks are a good place to get a cab off of, generally not used as much and especially in the winter so less exposure to salt. The 2/3 ton Ford trucks had the same basic cab, hood and doors as a 1/2 ton, at least in the 53-56 years.
I guess this is some idea of cab values, a1947 IHC cab for sale @ $300 tho a Ford cab should be worth alot more.

This is the cab I found. The person doesnt want much for it so I figured I can't do too bad on it even if I can't use it. Looks to be alright. I am hoping to get some pictures of the inside.

Looks pretty decent, these years always seem to be a lot better for being rust free than what the 53-6`s.

That cab looks real good, maybe my $500 idea is too high. I got it for free and spent
$400 in fuel to get it, plus other parts. NOT that mine is for sale.

I'd beg to differ 48-52 has their isues too. Floors, front valance, anywhere a running board mounts, and the 2 piece front fenders
