F250 lifts

What are some of the cheaper lifts between 2 and 4 inches. I don't want to replace the springs, wanna keep the stock feel.

I know blocks in the rear is sufficient but what do most of you do for the front, longer shackles? I think I saw this the other day but wasn't 100% sure.

I only want to go cheap for now cuz the D60 swap will come soon

Why not put in the RSK now, it'll lift the front about 3" or so depending on which kit you get. And you can use that for the D60 too.

RSK kits are less than $300 I think.

Or you could just replace the spring bushings and all the shackles with new ones. I bet they are worn out if they are original. That's 2-4 inches easy. Rearch the springs back to stock adn I know you will get 4 inches. I got 6 inches on my 350 doing all this.

I hear good things about the SKY Manufacturing RSK.

The 7.3 intercooler should be fine, the 6.0 coolers might interfere a little. Not sure though.

It basically welds (I think) between the frame rails at the front.

Here's sky's RSK

I might build my own, I've done it before for my buggies

What's the advantage to running SD springs when installing these RSK's?

SD springs will give a softer ride. You have to mount them differently because they are longer. Can't remember if you move the RSK forward, or the other mount back...

Will putting a RSK on the TTB mess with the camber angles?

I guess I'm just feeling a little off-topicy today. Sorry. But the first one I believe is what you are asking for.

Thanks Redman,

Have any of you guys done a shackle reverse on the rear? Will that effect load ratings?
I would guess that you wouldn't need a block if you do that

shackle reversal on the rear won't affect the spring rating and you will get a lift of about 4" and you wont need blocks on the rear. If you do any lifting of the front then you will need to buy or make a drop bracket for the pivot point for you D50 and will more than likely need to buy camber adjustment bushing to align your front tires.
I would probably buy A lift with new springs that is made for the 250 because it will come with the drop bracket that is design for the lift you bought and the springs will work just fine with your D60 when you upgrade the axle.
