56 f100 with previously bent frame?

I recently bought a complete project truck. I tore into it and found out it had frame repair work on the right side rail, looks like it must of been done a million years ago. everything measures pretty square but looks alittle wavey in some spots.
Has anyone restored one of these that had work done to the frame before? I'm kind of getting discuraged.

What seems to be the problem? Is the frame good except for this 1 spot?
Are you keeping it stock?
I would try to fix this section and goand continue the work of rebuilding the truck.
I know this is vague, but a weird repair done 50 years ago....it held up so far!!

we have a truck the frame has been bent 2 times above front axle drives fine after frame shop pulled straight. have it checked for alignment before you box it. dont cost that much. remember they stretch trucks all the time ie {beer trucks, dump,semi etc}

put in and tack your boxing plate, cut out the bad section of frame and replace it (make sure there is no presure on the frame before cutting it out)

I agree, have the frame straighted first. Any boxing etc after that. I had mine straighted, it was only 1/16" from square, but after installing the IFS, there was no problem passing state inspection and the truck handles well. All I'm saying start from the beginning, because if that isn't right, everything the follow will be off.

Check the frame for diamond square BEFORE installing the front suspension.If not square ,after it comes back from a good frame guy, you will end up redoing the front stuff..

Absolutely! You don't put the walls and roof on a house before you pour the foundation. The same goes with making sure your frame is correct. That is the foundation that everything else keys off of. As noted above, if it's not right, nothing else will fit correctly either.
