Im finally starting to get all the rest of my parts in and i will be doing this swap probably in the next few weeks but how do you do the relay fix for the mirror switch polarity? i have not yet been able to find it in my searches.
i finally installed my door panels, i already had my mirrors installed previously, it was fairly easy it took longer to find the info for the wiring than the install. on the passenger side the panel has a very minor rubbing on the dash, the drivers side fits very good no issues. illumination on the lock switch did come on (i did uses both grounds, i found the harness for the locks at the local junk yard off a ford 500 the color on the wires were diff though but the wires are in the same order). for my windows i repined my harness. i will post some pictures later of the out come.
Awesome me too! i really need to get mine on i still have to get my parts i haven't had the time but recently i have had more time since school started back up (im not working as much).
Did you adjust the dash at all so the panels don't hit? i have been using a heat gun and rolling a socket on the panel to round off the corner more so it doesn't hit anymore. the texture is gone but im going to take a panel and heat it up them press lightly and remake the texture again.
No I didn't adjust the dash or the panels, the driver side clears barely and the passenger rubs very very little nothing major to worry about so I'm not going to mess with it.
That's interesting. I wonder why my panels hit on both sides. My method worked kind it just doesn't look fantastic..I put some relief cuts and did some plastic work and plastic welding. My drivers side clears very slightly and the passenger side (untouched still) moves the dash about half an inch. Is it possible to get the dash to clear instead of fighting with the door? Like by putting screws in to hold it back?
