19.5 rims

I have a 83 T-19 with 4:10 's was looking to do a 5 speed swap or change rear to 3:55 for better milage but came across these wheels on ebay #300450277246 from ronsrims1. I can get some 19.5 takeoff tires and run 2 of these on the rear. How do you think they will work

as long as you tighten the lugs and put tires on the rims and fill them with air i think you will be fine

19.5 VISION ALUM SINGLES DODGE CHEVY FORD WHEELS: eBay Motors (item 300450277246 end time Oct-25-10 09:13:55 PDT)

your willing to pay 181$+$30 each/$724 +$120 for a total of $844 for a set of rims?
what do you do for work? where can i apply?

you know they likely don't have a load rating worth a lick right?
hope you don't plan on actually using the truck.
but i get the impression your just driving a truck because you prefer it to a car anyway.

have added the tire cost to your rim purchase?
your gunna be upwards of 2k + just for wheels lol.

you dont see many people sinking a couple grand into a set of wheels for an '83 very often.
is she all restored? hit us up with some pics man!

Reread my post HDXLT 2 rears $181 x 2 this guy vends in Carslisle Pa. I can get take off tires from Verizon no charge. Just looking to lower my rpm's. If I want to pull down a house I can put 16's back on. Just thinking it may be easier and cheaper than a ZF swap

Do you know what's the outside diameter of the takeoff tires you plan on installing on them wheels? Or at least what their sizes are (the OD can be figured out from that too)? factory tires are 31-32" in diameter, so anything taller will indeed lower your engine speed. Plus contrary to what some dually-converts may think these wheels have higher load rating than the factory 16s, so you will probably end up with a bit better handling as well due to the stiffer sidewalls on the 19.5 F-rated tires...

youre right... we just put 19.5s on our company dually and load range F tires... much higher load rating with the new set up now so no worries!!!

8R19.5 F = 622 RPM
235/85R16 = 670 RPM
7.1% REDUCTION WITH the 19.5s

Bolt pattern 165 x 8, sorry those are for 99 and up trucks with metric bolt patterns.

97 and older require 6.5" x 8 bolt pattern.

dave i believe that is the bolt pattern for our trucks... ours is a 8x6.5 or 8x 165.1mm and the 99 and up are 8x170mm

Dave, Super Duties are 170mm, 165.1MM is 6.5", those are the right rims for any 8 lug truck but a Super Pig.

Weight rating on those particular wheels is 4500 lbs. 19.5's are total overkill for how most of us use these trucks, and they tend to ride very stiff, the sidewalls in them don't like being run much below rated pressure...

coalroller and 82f100 are right, those wheels are for our trucks. 165.1mm is for our trucks. to the op of this topic, the wheels will work, but why? unless your looking for very heavy weight loads you can get a set of 20's for less with a healthy load rating. or just get some load range E for your 16's. the larger the wheel, usually the more the tires are going to cost you. the only advantage of running a 19.5" wheels is you can run tires from a f450-f550.

Oreo, he said he can get tires for free - I'd say that's one helluva advantage. Also with his truck being what it is, he'll be having a hard time wearing out them 19.5s so future replacement is pretty much a moot point as well.
