Anyone ever done a 4 door Flareside?
I was hoping someone with Photoshop could do a quickie. I have this minor fantasy of a 3/4 or one-ton 4x4 four door with a Flareside bed.
I can see it now, a black '96 F-350 with 35's, black wheels and no chrome. And make it a Diesel to really make me smile.
Gotta go play the lottery!h

I saw it about 10 years ago. I stereo shop in Charleston SC had a 2WD F250. It was a crew, with a short bed and, yeah, all they did was unbolt the box and swapped it with a Flare side bed. They went the other way from where you want to go. They lowered it, loaded it up with a bunch of radio stuff, and put a fancy paint job and chrome wheels on it. They used it as a show case vehicle, and shop truck. Not my cup of tea but a guess it was cool in it's own right.

I totally get the whole "Lightning" thing as far as fast and low trucks go and I actually like lowered 2wd single cabs but a four-door truck needs to be more masculine imo.
We have quite a few crew-cabs to start with up here in MA. too. Now if I could just get the 4x4 E250 van out of my head!

I've been thinking about this for awhile now. I have some rust issues with my 1996 F250 Crew's box. I have a line on a Flare side box locally but I feel like I need to see a pic of a truck done up that way before I jump in.... ANYONE have any pics like this?? Other thing is I need to measure my 5th wheel hitch to see if it all clears the insides of the box.

You have to remember the bed side comes down further on a Flareside because they all have the fiberglass running boards. Something else to consider is NOT all Flaresides came with dual tanks. I was contemplating doing this with my CCSB but have decided to make it a dually instesd

It appears to be a waldoch conversion.

will be doing it soon
I have a 95 f150 crew cab done by centurion. I'm in the middle of a 4bt diesel conversion right now, but the flareside is on the list of work in the near future. I picked up a 94 ex cab flareside that has a pretty bad frame and won't pass inspection for $500. I figure after I use the bed, fender and some other needed parts, I can part out whats left and break even or maybe even make a couple bucks.
