NEW to Board - Meet and Greet -

Very nice truck! Welcome to the forum! You appear to have a couple of very rare options. The front bumper/grille guard sells for a pretty good sum on ebay, when they pop up. And the rear bumper is a rare OEM unit for 51-52 only. Don't let that out of your sight. You might even invest in some kind of security bolts, too, depending on where you live.
Thank you! I appreciate the the insight on the grille and rear bumper. I plan on keeping the truck as original as I can. Knowing that I have some specialty OEM parts just adds to my overall satisfaction with my decision to move forward with the project.

I've always threatened that when I moved up to Northern California, I would restore this truck. I figured I better jump on it before anyone in the family sold it to make more room in a barn. Before I relocated, the family had already let a 65' Ford, 57' and a 58' Fury go. I wasn't about to let this out of my sight!

I'll add my welcome as well. Nice to see another 52 join the board. Please add your location in your user profile so that we may know where you're located. It'll help with referring you to possible local vendors and maybe you have neighbors from this forum that can lend a hand or parts.
As Wayne already mentioned, you have the highly coveted stock rear bumper. You also have a hard to find grille guard. It was an available option from Ford. I suggest keeping a close eye on both.
Get the truck running first and then decide what you want to do with it. It has great patina, so keeping the outside as is maybe a viable option.
I have a few spare 51/52 grilles if you need one.
How about some interior pictures?

I updated the location this morning! We'll definitely talk about the grille after I get this baby running - thank you. Here are some interior pictures:

You'll be amazed what a little soap and water and TLC will do for your motivation on that truck. That interior isn't bad at all. My engine was stuck, and I had to endure many days of soaking the pistons with oil. In the meantime, I detailed my truck as much as I could and worked on things like the brakes, etc. It may have some surface rust, but you'll be amazed how much better it will look after a simple wash job. And just drive it for a while and enjoy it. You'll either fall in love with it and get the motivation to finish the job, or you'll realize maybe it's not for you, and somebody else can have a go at it. The worst thing people do is tear the trucks completely apart and then lose interest.

Welcome aboard! I already hate you, though. That is one of the nicest and most complete barn refugees that has popped up here in a long, long time and it is a super truck! Heck, the seat isn't even torn! Wayne is right. You've got a LOT of interesting options on that truck. It's a restorers dream. The right side sunvisor was optional, but came standard with the 5-Star Extra trim package. You've also got an original radio with no missing pushbuttons and the correct *****. HOLD ON TO THAT! Your truck has the optional electric windshield wipers also. They were normally vaccuum. Your truck is an excellent candidate for a stock restoration. Cutting or modifying on that one wouldn't be doing it justice.

That interior is gorgeous! You have a treasure. In that registration holder is a historical archive. I would put those in a photo album and save them. I am envious of your truck's condition. You do have many cool options not normally found even on deluxe trim trucks. I think the first thing I'd do would be to replace that windshield gasket and keep any more water from running into that radio. Enjoy!

I had a feeling that the radio was in there. That's why I asked for the interior photos. Your radio looks to be from a car. It's more ornate. The difference is the dial ***** and chrome push buttons. The truck radios usually had ivory colored push buttons that always became brittle and cracked. The dial ***** were also round on the truck radios. Does the face of the radio have something like "Deluxe" imprinted in the dials?
I was just in Santa Rosa this morning for a swap meet. You're not that far away from me.
