Local Rack and pinion rebuild?

I am am just wondering if there is anyone local that can rebuild my mustang II power rack and pinion? I have a rare one that I would like to get fixed, I can't seem to find an new one, it has 16" centre mounting and from what I understand very rare as most 16" centre mounts are non-power, I can get it rebuilt in the States but would like to get it done locally.

What are the specs, what year is your r/p? Amigos may have something, they`re parting out few MII`s.
Unless you can find a used or a rebuilt unit I guess Marv`s Place Auto Repair on 22d Street is as good a place to start with as any: 652-6278
Glen/GPW66 had good luck there with his truck repairs.

That just it, I haven't been able to nail down exactlly what year it is, It has the ford logo and numbers stamped on both drivers and passengers side of the rack but haven't been able to find any yet, I will try and give Marv's place a call and see if they can rebuild it, might have to take a trip to Amigos also, thanks.

Talked with Marv's auto the other day, found out he is the dealer for Flaming River auto parts in the U.S. said my problem might be just an inner tie rod in the rack, instead of brining him my whole truck I took the rack off last night and am going to bring it to him today. Hopfully he can help me out, thanks again guys.

Gary still works at SMP.

The only parts you can get for a rack and pinion are the inner or outer tie rods. Internal parts are non existant to find. Even if you managed to find a north america distributor of parts it would most likely is quantities of 100+. There are three primary rebuilders that serve north america. Cardone, Autoline and Fenco. You just need to find a parts guy to do a little digging to get a rebuilt one.

51 Dueller, that hopefully is all that is wrong, i took it into Marv and he had said that it should be just the inner tie rods so I'm hoping thats all it is and I can move on, thanks for the info though, I will keep for the future just incase.
