i just bought a 3/4 ton 4x4 with a cammed up 400 some head work etc was gonna be a mud truck i blew my 302 up so i am gonna swap the motors out. i got a few questions will i have to change frame mounts? an if so where is the cheapest place to buy them/ also i have a brand new clutch with 1500miles on it it is the same clutch as the 400 will have right? also any other things i may have to vhange my f100 is 2wheel with a 4 spd an the 4x4 is 4spd also

 

you need the 400 transmission. the 351m and the 400 share the same bellhousing with 429/460. the 302 is a small block 289/302/351w.

I would like to buy a 1977 f150 2wd auto with a blew 302. I have a freshely rebuilt 400 with automatic transmission from 2wd truck. I would like to swap the 302 for the 400 with trans. What other thing should i consider for the swap ?

 

The small block windsors and the 335 modified series blocks used different motor mounts . The 2wd and 4wd mounts will not interchange either . This site has a classified ad section , you can place a "wanted to buy" ad for free .
