Emissions parts missing - Need Help
I just bought a 1979 F-150 4x4 shortbed. Really looks nice overall.
But the North Carolina Inspection stations will not inspect it because it is missing the emissions parts. I was told the parts just have to be on the truck and do not necesarily have to be working.
So I'm trying to collect the needed parts for re-installation.
What I need are some good pictures from an engine compartment detailing where these parts were originally located.
EGR Valve, Oxygen Sensor, Air Pump, vacuum hoses, etc...
Can someone help me out? that would be greatly appreciated.
I'm new here, this is my first Ford project truck.
I'll post some pictures soon.
Thanks!!

Welcome to FTE... we are an overflowing pool of knowledge, experience, and opinions.
You're in Charlotte? Heck, head over to Dennis Carpenter Resto parts.. I'm confident they can help you out. Also, order catalogs from Dennis Carpenter, LMC Truck, Blue Oval Truck Parts, Mac's Antique Auto Parts, National Parts Depot, and Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. The catalogs have lots of diagrams and drawings that really help in figuring out these Dentsides.
Congrats on the shortbed! I am partial to shortbeds and believe they are better proportioned. Also, they seem to be hard to find these days.
Personally, I end up going to the junkyard to look at areas no one ever takes pics of.. but that's just me.
