if you go after market run a bead of clear mildew resistent silicone around the out side edge of the lens...problem solved..Todd at reto has HID lights thats plug and play for the 99-04 trucks that want the 05-07 lights..i have them in my Harley lights and thy are very whit bright light..ill never go back to bulbs again...Todd also sells LED's for turns..if you look at pic in sig you will see NO amber in there...

I will see how I go with the normal bulbs. I have tried HID bi-xenons in the past and had issues with the telescopic bulbs not working reliably. I've added relay wiring harnesses to both sides, running separate relays for low and high beams on each side, triggered by feeds from the stock harness. I may upgrade to 80/100w bulbs if I find the light output lacking from the standard 55/65w bulbs (they look a bit yellow in the picture).

In Australia you are supposed to have level adjustable headlights + headlight washers to legally run HIDs.

Looks sleeker and neater. I am very happy with the fit, they look OEM as far as panel fit goes. I used the trusty Dremel to cut away the fiberglass light mount panel to fit the new lights.

To open up pretty much any headlight housing you put them in the oven at something like 200 degrees for about 5 minutes. Work quickly to separate the housings.

Thanks Snowseeker. I can see how that would work. Next time the wife is away I'll take it off and give that a try.
They are sealed pretty well. I cant really see them leaking. If they ever do now I know how to pull them apart and do a reseal!
