The truck is heading to the dealership tomorrow. Lately the shifting from 2-3 and 3-4 has been abrupt. It seems to lessen as the truck warms up.

On two occasions recently the truck would stall during acceleration. I would accelerate moderately, and around 30mph my rpm's would drop and my speed would decrees significantly. Stepping on the gas more did not help. Letting off the gas, then getting back on it got me going again. Almost felt as if I was running out of gas.

I was experiencing the odd shift flare (about once a month). Mentioned this to the dealer and they replaced the 3 solonoids - no hassles. They also did some other work for me. I'm a happy driver!

I definitely experience the same problem, and I took my 2011 f250 to ford and they said there was an update for the tranny, they put the update in and it still does it.

I tried an SCT programmer to see if that would help but it did not.

I dont know what else to do.

Got new solenoids and reflash done on my 2011 6.2 (40k mi) recently after waiting 6 months driving with the 2-3 flare every morning until it warmed up. All good now!

Yes! I have a 6.2 gas truck and the trans does not know what it wants to do. Dealer says no updates for this unit but they will look at it this thursday. Downshifts too often, lost between firts and second on turns. some very abrupt shifts but too many very light mushy shifts! Must be programing, as it is fine with the trailer attached and NOT using tow haul mode. when driving normal with no trailer and in tow haul mode the truck shifts MUCH better. More line pressure???

I traded it for a 2011 F-350 6.7 nice truck but the tranny has shown the same symtoms as the last even though it was built a year later while ford said they found and fixed the problom. The dealer hooked it to their computer and said theres no codes, and walked away.I have been trying to find solutions to this problom everywhere. I need this truck fixed! Can anyone help?
My 2012 6.2 with 1200 miles is doing the same thing at times! Going back for service Thursday

Well I finally got around to getting the solenoid TSB done. I have to say it definitely shifts a whole lot better. No more herky-jerky from a dead stop and the 2-3 and 4-5 shifts are much smoother. I'd say it was definitely a success!

Was having hard shifts from 2-3 and 5-6 all of the time. Had the TSB and the first 2-3 shift is hard but after that its buttery smooth the rest of the time and all the way up to 6th

My 2011 with 3.73's is averaging around 13.5 on the onboard display. Could be a little higher or lower than that since I have only had the truck a couple of days and haven't even burned a half a tank of fuel yet. So far I'd say I've driven about 80% highway and 20% in town/stop and go driving. Driving unloaded with 87 octane.

Havent followed this thread in a while.......

Has Ford corrected this issue overall with recent builds or is it resolved on an "as needed" basis?
