6.0L Powerstroke Diesel EGR Delete 304 Stainless Up-Pipe

Has anyone used this?

03-07 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel EGR Delete 304 Stainless Up-Pipe

Is it ok to leave the EGR cooler in place and still alow the coolant to flow through it and just not have exhaust gas going through it?

Any other parts I would need for this install?

I still have my EGR cooler in place for coolant flow but it's blocked at both ends so that if it leaks I won't get coolant into the intake or out the back end. It can be blocked with freeze plugs and left in place.

Mine is also in-place and blocked and welded shut on both ends. Coolant still goes through.

I have this also after the egr cooler failed (leaked) replaced oil cooler, but i installed a coolant filter also and pourd it into a mason jar after 1,000 miles and it was dirty. Coolant was dark and alote I mean Alote of dirty coolant in the the filter. Now I am blowing coolant out he bottle way less than before i was before, but still once a week have a driblle with the new cap. going delete egr completely and hope all goes away. Thinking EGT'S might be burning on block plate exhaust side creating extra gas in cooling system.

Check for a blocked oil cooler by comparing your eot and ect. The reason egr cooler leak is they aren't getting enough coolant through them!

This up-pipe wasn't designed to leave the EGR cooler in place, this was designed to be used with an EGR Cooler delete that is featured on that same page. Like some of the previous posts, if you did use this up-pipe, then you would at least have to seal the ends of the EGR cooler so that gases don't flow backwards through it.

If you'd like to keep the EGR cooler in place, but keep the air from flowing through it, I know that Elite Diesel also has a pipe like that where the scoop has been removed and they weld the opening so that no gases flow into the EGR cooler. That's what I'm planning on using. I'm just excited to see my EGT's and coolant temps drop after making this change.
