Rear door won't open from inside??
I just got my new to me 2002 Sport Trac this week and I love it! When I purchased it, it was pointed out to me that the rear right passenger door would not open from the inside. It can be opened normally from the outside, and it moving that little child lock switch one way or the other has no effect on this. They knocked an extra one hundred bucks off the price for this problem so it was'nt a big deal to me. Is this something I can attempt to fix myself or does it need to go in to a shop?

Most likely the inside door handle. They're totally plastic and all it takes is a few real hard pulls on it and it's toast. With the child safety locks on the back doors it's inevitable that sooner or later someone will kill it. New ones are available from Ford, as an aftermarket and on eBay. Easily replaced by popping off the window switch panel, removing a couple screws and pulling out on the bottom of the door panel to release the retainers. DO NOT pull out too far as you will have to lift up on the panel to release the "hook" and clear the top of the door body. Here is the back side of the door panel so you can see where the retainers and hook is. DON"T BREAK THE HOOK ! ! LOL!!
