I have an'87 f150 302 V8 - can't get it to start. I've tested & replaced the starter, starter relay, battery cables & ignition switch. The battery tested out fine. Tested but not getting current from the excite wire to the starter relay. When I try to start the truck the fuel pump relay engages but no other sounds happen & the truck doesn't start. Any ideas?

 

You did not say what transmission you have but if it is an automatic then check the N/P safety switch on the drivers side of the transmission. If it is standard then check the switch on the clutch.

 

It's an automatic - I've located the switch but I'm not sure which wires I test. I'm new at this so I sure appreciate the help.
