Help identifying this truck

Ok... Sorry, this isn't a Ford, but it may end up motivated by a Ford powerplant.

I'm posting this in two forums trying to find a good source of info. Who knows anything about this truck? I'm guessing late 40's-early 50's. No frame, no nothing except a cab. Thinking about getting it. Not much money and as the current truck has started out from about the same thing (actually less), it looks interesting.

So far, my web searching hasn't yielded anything concrete.

Thanks! It looks like this might be a later model then. The cowl doesn't seem to have any body lines in it. Guess I need to search for later models than I thought.

I now found this one that appears the same, but no mention of the specific year. Not sure that it matters. I guess more curious than anything. Now to decide if I want to take on another project of this magnitude...
