What did you do to the X today?
My Expedition should be done in the AM, less then $400 they fixed the blown plug, replaced the coil, re-torqued the other plugs and replaced the far back one on the pass side i never touched. I'll be interested to see how things look under there, turns out the guy working on it is a tech we fired about 3 years ago...fingers crossed!
In other news Spring has officially sprung!! I pulled the Oldsmobile out of storage tonight and took it for a spin..man i missed this car. 49F was a little chilly for top down weather though.

Currently we have a '56 Bel Air wagon, '30 Model A, '55 F100, and I just bought another '30 A Coupe and '35 Ford 5w Coupe.
Another month or so and it will be hard for the EX to get any love!
Nice Olds, I've seen you reference to the "old cars" and have been curious what you have in the stables.

Sounds like you have a nice collection! Post some photos if you can. I'm going to hot august nights in Reno this year for the first time and i'm VERY excited!!! I'm also making it a goal to hit every Barrett Jackson auction location in the country. So far i've done Scottsdale twice and Vegas once...so much fun!!
We have a few, 56' Bel-Air convertible, 265 power pack, 3 on the tree, numbers matching mid 80s frame off. Bought it in '97 and have put about 35k miles on it since.
'69 Mercury Cougar XR7 390/auto, 77k original and the car was sold brand new locally. Been in the family since the early/mid 70s.
'76 Corvette Stingray 4speed 44k original on it, my dad bought it from a family friend in '78 at the age of 18. It's been modified and pushing 400-450HP.
The Olds is a '72 Delta 88 350 with 91k on it, stock interior and the exterior paint was done in '97. We just bought this car up from ND in 2013, it's been in the family since 1990 or so.
It is, however, in the owners manual for your ex...
This is what I'm saving my pennies for right now...

I am so glad the X does not have a My Touch Sync system. My 2013 Fusion is still in the shop because of this thing not working right, A/C and heat has a mind of its own, radio wont come on at times, display on the instrument cluster and radio are different and my or may not be related, the headlight system wont work at times. Ford is being hit with a ton of class action suits and lemon law buybacks.
We have also had transmission shifting, stalling and no start issues with the car.
Our dealer is a friend and he feels bad about the problems. He has a 2014 Fusion we have been driving with the luxury package and will trade us out of our car for it for a great price without the My Touch system
The electronics in these newer cars is crazy. What happens in 10 years when the systems are not supported by Ford anymore? The new planned obsolescence.

Sorry to hear your having so many problems with your Fusion. I have a 2013 Fusion SE Hybrid (bought 1 July 2013) and only had one problem for the airbag light. Got a system update and good to go. I got 57k on mine and it runs great. No problems with sync or my ford touch.
My wife has lost faith in the car, that is the biggest problem.
^^^It's amazing how the wife's faith in a machine, whether it runs well or not, is inevitably its death knell.
My wife is convinced that every uneven road surface or loose bit of gravel that she runs over signals the beginning of the end for her car, and that we need to start shopping around for something newer, expensive, and "reliable". Then, when I drive it and notice nothing wrong, it turns into me being "cheap" and not caring about how "unsafe" her car has become.

After tripple checking - I took it out and down to a local driveshaft shop I've used before.
Walked in, and the guy looks at me and and the shaft and I kid you not, turned his head sideways and says "Rear shaft for and Excursion huh? What'cha need done to it?" The guy is like Rainman for driveshafts! I get it back some time today and should know more, but he said everything felt good from his initial observations - but said he'd know more after a few angle, high speed and balance tests.
