Took a little break to show you guys my progress on fixing this dent on the chrome bumper with bondo. Im painting it semi gloss black. I think it's more flat than anything but looks nice to me. I managed to get the dent sculpted to the best of my abilities. Im still shaping up but I got the ridge shape with the bumper. The grill is on it's first coat and ready for round 2. I should be done in a few hours. maybe..... Here are some flicks I shot for you late owls... Enjoy..

I always use a propane/mapp torch to heat the terminal/wire up and then melt a puddle of solder in the terminal and finally dunk the wire into the solder. Don't forget some HD shrink tubing for that super-pro look!

I just finished the last coat on the grill. Getting ready to wash all the dust off the bumper and wash it really good before paint.
Question, Can I wet the bondo at this point? It's been cured for about 30 minutes. I already sanded it smooth.

It's been a year or two since I've used body filler but I think I have painted it as soon as it was dry enough to sand - at the point where it comes off dusty/grainy when you sand it. But when in doubt, read the directions! And reps to you for having the ***** to ditch the chrome bumper!

Check with welding supply house for welding lead in whatever size ya go with (2ga +). Not necessarily cheaper (copper is EXPENSIVE), but that fine-strand wire in nearly bullet-proof shielding is about as good as you can get for this application. They will also have different dia. ring terminals, etc for the ends. Well, prolly is cheaper than the stereo shop...
