In bed fuel tank
Well after some measuring and the like I came apon something. I cant rig up any of the tanks off the 95 F250 under my 75, so I started thinking and I was wondering if I got one of those rectangular fuel tanks they put in back of trucks and on the side down at the bottom put two port, one to feed a electronic fuel setup and the other for the return line. Would this work? Cause I like the idea personally.
EDIT: this is the fuel tank I would want to install, would it work cause it has two with draw tubes and I dont see why one couldnt be used for return.

If you can find one with ports at the bottom.
I think you are talking about a transfer tank like we use to haul fuel out to equipment in the field.
Most only have top ports.
If you got a steel tank, there is no reason you could not weld some ports on to attach your hoses to.
I guess if you have someone that can weld aluminum, they would work as well.
The only down side, no fuel gauge.

Why don't you just get a bed mounted tank and put a filter and pump on it? Then use it to fill up your truck. Mine is a 100 gallon tank with a good filter and a water block filter on it. I don't get any more trash in my truck or tractor this way. Plus when it is on the truck I can go halfway across the country and then some. I just fill up my main tanks whenever I have to stop.
If you do this just make sure you have a clear filter bowl. Trust me, before I just had to metal spin on filter cans. I got pulled over about once a week to check my pickup tanks by the state troopers out here. I never buy red diesel anymore because our closest dealers always have too much trash in their tanks. It's a HUGE fine if you get caught with it in a OTR truck.
Now with this clear filter housing I never get pulled over anymore.
