6-5, 305 / I've dieted off 40 lbs., the plan is to get down to 200, but that prolly will never happen.
btw: The time for haulin' the boat to the river is past, the time for traipsing all over the country is past, so I have no need for a pickup, but...
IF Ford offers the new 5.0L or 6.2L in an F150, the day they come out, will be the day I buy one.
I read somewhere on FTE that both will be available in 2011, but the dealer says otherwise, there's not a peep about it in Car and Drivel either.

I have 3 1973/79 parts catalogs, all different dates. That's was what I was refering to. I now have all the parts catalogs for cars: 1949/79. They come in handy, cuz Bronco parts are in the car parts catalogs 1965/72 & 1973/79. Bronco wasn't in the truck catalogs till 1980. The early 49/59 catalog covers the early (1957/59) Rancheros. I also have all the Packard & Studebaker parts catalogs from the 1920's thru 1966. I know how to use them too, because prior to 1962, I was a Studebaker/Packard partsman, and have owned 60 Packards and dozens of Studebaker Hawks.
More books: Every Automobile Quarterly from Vol I #1 to now. That's 177 and counting. Then there are roughly 1800 books on auto and related history. If I told you how many other books I have in this house, you wouldn't believe me, but it's close to 30,000. NO SCHEISS! Wanna know about Pueblo Pottery? How about the history of Cape Sable Island? Guns?...gotcha covered. World travel, Architecture, Ocean Liners. Jane's and Conways Naval ref books. Antiques, Film history. Old West history. Musical instruments. US Naval and Military history..what era would you like to know about? How about the history of the British Navy? btw >>> The Cutty Sark burned yesterday in Greenwich, England.

Not that you specifically need it, the general population doesn't have the choice of a SD tow vehicle that can get the mileage the treehuggers were screaming about with the Excursion, now with the new technology a SD Excursion can get near the same fuel mileage as one of those little Crossover SUV's.
Maybe comin' downhill on the Sherman Grade or Wolf Pass, otherwise I doubt it would get much more than 15 hwy.
The best hwy mileage I was able to get with my last pickup (6200 lb. Titan CC w/DOHC 32 valve 5.6L V8 5 speed auto overdrive) was 18.7 and that was drivin' 60-65 on the flats w/the A/C off.

Riverside gets HOT, and if you think 100 is hot, just wait till you're in Palm Springs in the summer, or worse-Phoenix.
A coupla nights ago I called my sister.. it was 99 degrees...at NINE PM!
The other day, according to the weather report..it was 125 in Death Valley.
If you live in Eureka where it rains almost everyday, where the constant fog might burn off by 5 PM (if you're lucky), and where 66 degrees is considered HOT in the summer, you don't need A/C, otherwise...
