My paint guy hooked me up again & sprayed my factory mirror lenses. He thins out gloss black then clear coats the lenses. Now they match my cab lights and Recon 3rd brake light.
As you can see, my originals were cracked and broken. "fordboy2" sold me some stockers in great shape.
Actually with the high quality LEDs I have in the cab lights, they're brighter than stock lenses/bulbs. As far as the mirror lights, they still project amber light from the stock LEDs inside. At night they may not be as bright as a non-tinted lense - but as MWS said, they're brighter than non-lit mirrors for sure.
I see your right mirror cover is broken like mine, what did you use to glue it back together?
I didn't repair the lense. I replaced them both.

It's much easier then it looks. All you need is a long thin flat head screw driver. You have to move the mirror glass around to the extreme sides to access the release tabs. I think there are six of them. They will release the entire front cover of the mirror including the led assy. Tten unplug the light. Once the mirror shell is off of the truck you'll see two plastic "wings" that have to be gently squeezed to remove the light from the shell. First one takes 20 mins, 2nd one takes 2.
