Just curious to see how anyone maybe incorporating their truck into any eclipse festivities somehow some way? While traffic patterns may dissuade certain ideas, anyone giving the kiddos a ride around the block, or lining up an interesting photo shoot?
Not using the old truck, but we’re going to East Harbor state park with the little teardrop camper to watch the eclipse. (in Ohio)
I believe that East Harbor is the next village west of Lakeside. I spent many week long events during my youth at summer church camp at lakeside. I met a few girls over the summers and we'd go to the Lake Erie shores and watch the "submarine races". Oh the 80's lol
I've been meaning to ask if anyone is planning eclipse events or viewings. I've been fortunate to have witnessed 2 total solar eclipse events in my lifetime, and it's truly an amazing experience.

The news is warning that in the "totality zone" there may be shortages of gasoline and food because of the influx of people coming into view this historic event.
I remember back in the 60’s we had an eclipse. I had a pet banty hen. She went back to her roost, I guess thinking night was coming. She came back out again. Kevin, you’ll have to watch your chickens to see how they react.
My wife and I are going to Newark in upstate NY which is 36 miles south west of Rochester. My DIL's cousins live there. Newark is in the path of totality. Its about 3 hours from Lock Haven.
I'm a nice little drive away from Newark. I'm hosting Family from all over. Haven't quite busted my toys out from hibernation yet, but my workhorse 8N may be roped into providing some rides or pulling stuck visitor vehicles out of the currently swampy lawn.
