2000 F150 Front End Alignment

I am purchasing new wheels and tires for my 2000 F150 5.4 V8 Extended Cab truck. The new wheels are 18X8.5 inch wheels and the tires are Michelin LTX P265/65R18. My truck now has 16 inch wheels and the tires are a BF Goodrich all Terrain Tire. The tires need to be rotated every 3500 miles to prevent inside tire wear. When I by the wheels and tires is there anything I can do that will avoid the issue with the tire wear? I plan on getting a front end alignment and resetting the speedometer, but how do I avoid the excess tire wear?

Keep the tires balanced, rotated, run correct camber and toe and don't overload on weight capacity. Make sure the shocks are in good shape, as well as the suspension components. If all that is fine, there shouldn't be any issue
